Balgowlah Heights is a highly desirable suburb with a stunning outlook ideally positioned on a headland between North and Middle Harbour.

From Forty Baskets Beach (aptly named by commercial fisherman who used to boast about the about the abundant daily catch) the suburb borders the waters’ edge and sweeps around past beautiful Reef Beach, over towards Dobroyd and then down to Castlerock and finally Clontarf.  Perhaps the most breathtaking section of the famous Spit to Manly walk is located right here. 

Tourists are in awe of the most famous vantage point from popular Dobroyd Head.  The panoramic view from here takes in North Head, Manly Beach, the Northern Beaches, Watsons Bay and the Eastern Suburbs.  

Balgowlah Heights has a superb set of village shops featuring delightful gift and clothes shops and a range of other convenient shops and cafés and an award winning deli. 

Balgowlah Heights boasts many designer homes on large sections of land, in addition to a number of very comfortable, post war houses, many of which have been transformed in recent years. 

Quieter than neighbouring Balgowlah, this is a popular suburb for families in particular, where children and teenagers alike can enjoy swimming, walking and sailing.  Regular buses service the CBD during peak hour and there is a regular bus to nearby Manly.  Alternatively, Manly is just a 20 minute stroll away.
